About / 001
Starting with
the truth.
DevGathering is a new community. There are no running chapters, no past events, and no invented origin story. We are at the beginning.
The premise
Good developer communities are made in the open.
We want to create in-person spaces for people who build software and care about the work beyond the job title. Focused conversations, generous hosts, and enough room for a question to become a real discussion.
The format is intentionally unfinished. The first members will help decide the city, cadence, size, and topics. The only fixed idea is that it should feel worth leaving home for.
Until the first gathering is ready, this site is a signal: if you want to help make that room real, you can join the list or send a request.
Right now
No chapters running
There is no city chapter to join yet. We are at the start.
No invented history
No past events, no retrofitted narrative. Just the present.
No fixed format
The structure gets decided by the people who show up first.
